Incorporate in 2017 in Kuala Lumpur with the primary objective of revolutionizing the ruminant farming industry in Malaysia. Our principal business activities revolve around the production of all natural and high-quality ruminant feeds as well as agro-technical consultancy, turnkey smart and sustainable ruminant farm setup with a focus on goat farming.
In addition to contributing to the country’s food security, we are committed to aligning our operations with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. We advocate for responsible production, preservation of life below water and on land, and the creation of partnerships to achieve these goals. Products
All natural high quality silage and total mixed ration (TMR)
High quality basic feed is the foundation for healthy animals. Animals enjoy good and tasty feed with consistent quality. A good appetite is the basis for a good eat, high milk yield, and is ultimately also decisive for economic success. On ruminant farms, uniform daily increases in weight for high-ranking as well as less high-ranking livestock is a key prerequisite for animal welfare and for commercial success. It is important here to have a correct feed concept to assure stable development of the rumen (first stomach) and to take preventive measures against diseases such as diarrhoea. Qualitative and homogeneous feeding constitutes the basis for optimum animal welfare and health.
The focus on goats
In 2021, Malaysia emerged as the 12th largest importer of sheep and goat meat in the world, with imports valued at MYR 967.5 million. Our national import primarily originated from Australia, New Zealand, India and France. The increasing demand for goat meat and milk makes it clear that there is significant demand nationally and a great export potential from domestic production.
In response to these trends, Virico Sdn Bhd was established with the goal of bolstering Malaysia’s food security through the supply of organic ruminant feeds, enhancing local ruminant farming practices and providing advanced agro-technological solutions and services. We aim to reduce dependency on imports, making the nation more resilient to global market fluctuations and supply chain disruptions.
